I have not paddled one, but a buddy of mine paddles one, and he loves it.

I will ask him for some more feedback and post it up

Hi,

I've been padling my Salto since 2005.

I think it's a very good boat.

Works very well on tight and tegnigual creeks as on bigger drops and rapids. Good edge to edge controll and easy to handle in all situations.
Fast and very controlled resurfacing as well EASY rolling.

No gimicks in the outfitting, fits me well. If something breaks; easy to repair. Only 6 bolts through it's hull is another good feature. Awesome cocpitrim, you won't find a stiffer one on the marked!!

Optional you can get the KISS-set (keep it safe and simple): good thighbraces and absolutly worth it's money.

Your weight could be an limiting factor, it comes only in one size. As well as limitid colours.

All in all a hard to beat creeker!

Hope this helps,

:D

I paddle a Salto and love it. it is very fast and is extremely easy to boof and roll if needed... It is a very aggressive creek boat compared to some others. Its outfitting is minimal which is a bonus for me. Nothing to break on the river and you can really make it custom fit for you rather than a boat that has various ratchets, inflatable bags,a nd other adjustable parts that cana nd will break. I loved mine so much i connected with the company and no deal them for the northeast.

If you have seen Wehyakin you will know it works well on the low volume steep slides. If you have not seen it check it out here

Siberian best paddlers visited Alps last spring, one of them had salto instead of his habitat (or, last year it could be deasel), they ran upper Ots, Isel (not sure about right writing of names), upper Shwarzakh, :) and alot of rivers more, so, the guy that was running on salto was very disappointed with his boat, and said that he will never take such boat again. He didn't said what exatly was bad in this boat, on that question he answered \"everything\". :) So I don't know, maybe salto is really good boat but sure that it very depends with which boat u comparing.

i tested salto quickly couple a weeks ago and i thought it was really good especially easy rolling.
Some people says that salto has too old hull etc... But i think it is still good boat. I'm thinking to buy salto

I've heard about differences in behavior and material among the Old Salto and the new one.
The material seems quite good for both series, Eskimo is one of the few companies that uses injection molding that is more accurate than rotomolding..

But i never had the occasion to test it.

I've used a Salto a few times,
First thing I've got to say is that this boat is bombproof, no support pillars to get in the way of gear because it don't need em; the foot brace is easy to manipulate.
The only slightly negative thing I have to say about the Salto is the seat: its spartan to say the least.

But just get some foam and its all good...
