Im looking into getting This kayak as my first playboat.
Ive been kayaking for a few years with my Perception acadia, but i want to get into the whitewater and surfing thing. Ive never tried a playboat before. I have sat in one, thats about it. Will this be a good kayak for some river running and some surfing? Also, whats a good price for a used one?
thanks

Nice boat, but as far as playboats go, it's pretty old at this stage.

Wouldn't be my choice for running rivers… it's got very low-volume ends.

What height/weight are you?

Hmm, I'd be inclined to say try something more modern… RAD, Project, ZG, Kingpin, etc… At your weight and height you should have no problem finding a second-hand boat that would fit you fine. It may cost slightly more than you'd get a Centrifuge for, but I think the more modern volume distribution would be more suitable for river running as well as playboating.

Best thing to do is demo as many boats as you can. Do you have a local club where you could try out other people's boats?
