If I'm not mistaken, I think there needs to be low tide for this wave to form, which is why it's a little hit and miss. You need high water and low tide for the feature to come in.

Any excellent point Peter, and looking back, I guess I left that out of the description! opps!
Have made the edits.

correct - need low tide in order to have the water drop over the pipe and create the wave.

was in last weekend...
River levels currently lower (~ 4) - need more rain...
