The Burn's much more than just a modification of the critically acclaimed H3. We've listened to detailed feedback and given you more volume and subtly tweaked rails to keep you on the surface and on line. We've also refined the rails to stop you hanging up on shallower runs and rockslides and, of course, we've loaded it with the lightest, strongest outfitting around.

If you're happy, you're successful.

Is the Pyranha Burn a good all around boat for a newbie paddler? I have a mamba that i use for my creek runs and have a buddy asking about the Burn and i know nothing about the boat

As far as I've heard, the Burn is pretty good. Make sure that he gets to demo it before he buys it though, because the last thing you want is for him to give up kayaking because he doesn't like his boat. probably the best all around boat would be the Pyranha Ammo or the Bliss-stick SCUD, since they are like mini creekers that should also be able to turn better than something like the Burn.

Pyranha have a long record of making excellent creek boats - throught the Mountain Bat, Micro 230-250, H3, M3 series. The Burn builds on that experience and is a fantastic creeking and big water kayak - I paddle the Burn L myself and find it handles superb for the heavier paddler (I am 90+ kg) - it really surfaces well and just feels very solid in big water. Fully recommended. Ian (PS: declare I used to be a Pyranha dealer during the Iron Age - am not any more but I still paddle their boats!)

I currently paddle a L burn

Creeking is amazing, it wants to boof... It is stable, holds it's line and very fast

It was my choice boat for my first times down the upper gauley and it handled aawesome! Holds up to heavy water and punches holes like a champ

It was down to the large burn or large solo, both of which are top end creekers, I opted on the burn simply as I could pro deal Pyranha. If I could pro deal either I probably would have taken another solo but I am no way upset with my burn, great boat... Bravo Pyranha

Demo, demo, demo... It's all preference
