The Project X represents a half-decade of freestyle research from the world’s top kayak design team. We have truly discovered a new benchmark in paddler control both on waves and holes, with absolutely no sacrifices.

If you're happy, you're successful.

I read a rewiev which said that outfitting started to crack in Project X which was only one month old.

Is it true?

Strange? Sounds strange that the outfitting would start to crack after suck little usage. I dont know if it is true or not but i know wavesport make pretty solid kayaks so id be very surprised if this happened! If you are thinking of buying one i wouldnt worry about it after all it is just one review and there are many more reviews in which the owner is very impressed with the overall build quality and the way the boat handles.

Anyway if you do buy it have fun!

Hope this helps.

Yep; I have seen this too in 2 Projects; but in all reality... it doesn't really matter. Still works just fine. Looks a little odd tho.

Luckily I haven't had this happen in my project x 56. I've had it a little over a year in some pretty unforgiving ocean surf (salt water/sand), fresh water, and pool (chlorine) situations too. No special care besides rinsing it out/off and letting it dry.
