Great article! I've seen a drowning person exhibit the exact signs as above and once the person was grabbed and brought above water, it was quite obvious that they were relieved to be saved! For that is when all of the gasping for air began. It also happened to me as a late teenager. I saw the people at the poolside watching me unable to do anything. Finally, the adult I was with told the life guard to go get me. I was fearfully out of control with trying to breathe then that I thought I'd never overcome fear of water.
