It may just be the computer I am on right now, but it seems the forum has changed, and does not fit onto the screen properly due to it being wider or the left hand side bar being bigger?

Could it be worth altering the side bar to make it a bit skinnier to get a better fit onto the page / screen?

Like I said it could just be the machine and always good to keep refreshing things

see if you also have the same problem on another pc and if so let me know.

yeah, many things were upgraded over easter: the community software, the forums and the messaging.

i was playing around with colors and layouts and thought that this bright look actually looks pretty well for the forum, even if it's totally different from the rest of playak. anybody any feedback on that?

I like the look Maybe if the Blues were Yellows to go with the theme or the website. though I am having the same problem with the screen width.

Different computer same thing, I think its the playak my space link, if you took one row of pictures off that may solve it?

Fits on my laptop. Think it's 19".

I liked the black look... :dry: Just my two cents. :2cents: :happydrunks:

Otherwise it's pretty cool. Haven't seen the message system yet.. Will check it out. Change is always good though! :woohoo:

playak my space link?

btw for all i know the whole thing is exactly as wide as before. maybe you didn't notice it before because is was white on black, like the rest of the site?

On a different computer now which is better, I think black and yellow is nicer but hey change is good, playak,net was what I was on about cheer adrian :) It could be just the colour change, but I remembered when the playak.net first came along it seemed to push the forum over? It works on my computer thats the main thing.

I think "myspace link" is the playak.net link up the top left of the site with the 4 by 4 photo's. Also I don't mind the colours, but there's too much padding around each post.

The writing for each actual post is in a white box that is within a grey box. There's a massive gap between the white box and the light grey box. Needs to be stretched out to make better use of space.

Also when browsing the forums is it possible to put in a "goto latest new post" style link? I know vBulletin has this, but can you implement this with Joomla? I get told which threads have new posts, but it's a bit annoying having to sift through each thread whenever there's a new post to see which you've read and which you haven't.

Oh well, keep up the good work anyway!

the latest posts are always shown in the forum block on the playak front page. or you can try this link:

I think he means (and I agree) that there should be a "go to last post" button. Instead of sifting through all the old posts in a thread. though I just make the last post first in options.

if you look at the links on the front page, , and here as well:
playak.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=2&func=latest
all links have a #number behind them, which means that if you click on them, you jump
to the latest post automatically. isn't that exactly what the wish was about? :)

I like the fact that it shows how many new posts are in a particular forum. Nice touch!

Navigation seems better with more control. Still, I liked the black background. Black is more enviromentally friendly... 8)

i prefer black too, but the thing is, it took me 3 full days to upgrade everything last week, but in order to make it all black again, and look as good as it looks now in white, I would need another 6 days. it's just not worth it right now. the forum software is standard software, for which there are no really good templates available, yet. and so i'd rather just wait until there are good black templates available.
