I'm a pretty solid Class III boater and don't mind the cold.

Get in contact with Ali, he runs sea kayaking trips on the west coast of Ireland. Really spectacular scenery.

The rivers are usually pretty dry for the summer, but if you are interested in a bit of playboating you should check out

Its tidal so will work during the summer. Also keep an eye out for a bit of kayak surfing on the west coast.
