You what? Maybe it is just me, but that made no sense at all. If your after info on paddling in the UK then the Inland forum on www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk is the best place to go.

You actually understand that post?? Ok then, to organise a trip with UK paddlers.... www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk would be a good place to go. As it is a very active forum used by lots of UK paddlers.

You already said that. Thing is, he was asking here in the Playak forums, which are used by loads of UK paddlers too :)

Yes, and then re-worded it after your reply...

Incase he didn't know about UKRGB I was informing him that its there and also a very useful forum. Why not use both...

Personally I prefer trips where I can understand the organiser, I think I shall give this one a miss.

Well I for one would love to spend a winter bumming around going to paddling spots and having a right old laugh. Only problem is my wife and mortgage company might have something to say about it. With you in spirit man.

BTW think you should keep sommit like that with your mates or club not a public forum esp as u are 16. Don't want to mama u but u understand.

Hope u make it, keep us posted and if it doesnt happen this year get it sorted for next year, work your butt of this summer get a driving licence and a cheap old banger and then the world it yours...

Re:To the guys and gals of England 18 years 3 months ago #12747

it would probily take about 7 months to get a decent size group and orginise where everyone wants to go and what order to start like one end of the contry the the next do lots or rivers all the way up. And im including scotland (for the hard ass creekers)

Go to university. Its a couple of years away but well worth the wait. Uni canoe clubs have a wide range of paddlers and if theres any decent whitewater or surf around there will usually be someone up for it (so long as someone has a car) on top of all the club trips. The inter-uni events like BUSA competitions and megabash are great to paddle and party with lots of other unis. I assume most other unis do an annual scotland trip and probably a summer alps/abroad trip too.

In the meantime get a few mates together and enjoy what youve got down in the south-west.
