i was just wonderin how best would i be able to organise a trip to the HPP centre in nottingham for some freestyle trainin ?
wheres the nearest airport ?
are their camping facilities ? how much do they cost ?
what are water levels like ? how do i find them out closer to the time - is there a dam release ?
how long would most paddlers go there for ?
is there a best time of year to go ?
how would i be able to get from the nearest airport to the centre with all my gear ?

if anyone could help me out with the questions iv outlined above tehn thatd b great !!

The nearest Airport is about 20 miles south of HPP and is East Midlands airport, transport from one to the other shouldn't be too hard to get a hold of, there is a campsite over the road from the centre but I cant find their prices and there is a hotel on site, more info:

Water levels are usually good unless it rains heavily when the course begins to flood from the bottom, back up to the top. In which case the course is closed. Any time if year is good, of course warm weather always helps and to be honest there is a fair bit to do, if you have transport and are fed up with playing at HPP after a few days you could always check out Trenk Lock Weir or even pop down to Newark weir for a bit of surfing. As for transport you'd probably need to speak to a taxi firm to see if anyone is capable of transporting a boat. If there is a group of you I'd definately look into hiring a van/car as there's plenty more to see and do around Nottingham.

yea thats great !! unfortunately none of the people who are tinkin of goin have their licenses yet so hirin a van isnt really an option at the moment !!
