Love the Skip, Hate Sore Feet

About the reviewer

Bought the boat quite recently after giving up on the tricks in my wavesport ez . . .

Test environment

Rivers with play-holes, waves and smaller stoppers at reasonably good levels.

Review

Review? An awesome boat if you want something to effortlessly throw around.

I couldn't cartwheel in my ez, so I bought the Skip. Within a few days' paddling I was throwing 8-end cartwheels with ease.

The Skip has low volume, with sharp bow and stern, so it will catch anything you wish. And for that matter most things you don't wish, unless you have your eyes peeled.

Super fun, super light and super painful after a couple hours on the wave. This boat is definitely orientated to parking-and-playing rather than running a whole stretch of river.

If you decide to run the whole river, you will have an awesomely fun time, be the envy of all your friends as you show off with your freestyling rodeo skills, but you will emerge at the end of the day with the sensation in your hips not dis-similar to that of having just given birth to a herd of wildebeest.

And your ankles will be so bent by this stage in the game that you look like you have been suffering from rickets for years.

NEVERTHELESS. Despite the pain, I choose the Skip over the ez every time where I am looking for some effortless freestyling.

Love the boat.

Conclusion

Awesome boat, great fun guarenteed. Very painful - you have to improvise your own outfitting.
