Model Year
Newly developed during the summer of 2003 and introduced in October of the same year, the HUKI S1-X is the first surfski hull design by Jerry Montgomery, with some input from myself, Jude Turczynski. I wish I could take more credit for her than just being concept and detail director. She is brilliant. This surfski hull is our second commercial production shape to be designed with a computer.

Designed and shaped in early 2005 by Jerry Montgomery with computer aided techniques developed here at HUKI, the HUKI S1-R went into production in April of the same year. I wanted to develop a ski with a great deal more stability than our other two surf skis. I wanted a big bump boat that wouldn't toss me off in a messy sea. Something that would surf and maneuver well. Jerry and I went back to our S1-X for the successful shapes that produced the best performing surf ski in the world. We made her a little beamier and a foot shorter and we gave her a little more volume. The result is the new HUKI S1-R that has been tested in some BIG 4-6 foot windchop, mixed slop and current, by very experienced paddlers and novices alike.

Introduced in March of 2003, she was designed by John Dixon. Jerry Montgomery built and designed the tooling for production. I (Jude Turczynski) personally built the prototype, first boat from the molds. This blue, black and white surfski pictured on this page weighed in at 18 lbs complete...!!! Though she's hyperlite, she's rock solid, stiff and more durable than most racers built by my best competitors.

Klaus Lettmann has developed this new polo kayak together with the top sportsmen of the 1. Meidericher KC 4. The VCS-version of the Fighter increased the strength by 25 %, compared with the conventional boats, and at the same time, a reduction of the weight by 5 – 10 %! A further successful point is the design of the deck and draught which enables a remarkable paddling. And the excellent results of the Fighter’s paddlers are meaningful.

Produced according to the newest guidelines of polo kayaking. The Equipe is available in two versions. As Equipe P with integrated PU-foam kits or as Equipe with kits for self-installation. Both versions have an adjustable seat. The draught of the Equipe is extremely fast and quick to turn.
