OR 2006, Report #2
Here is our second batch of impressions from the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2006 in Salt Lake City. |
Kokatat
Kokatat presented (among others) two new PFDs: the Ronin Pro (T5 - Rescue) and the Ronin (T3 - Recreational).
Astral
We didn't get much chance to talk to Astral, but here's what their rescue vest looks like this year.
Wavesport
The Habitat is Wavesport's new creekboat and comes with some very handy amenities. First is a molded step-out structural pilar for the bow. An integrated backpack system is also in the works which is looking pretty good for those arduous hike-in creeks.
NRS
NRS has extended their line of technical whitewater wear with new colors, fabrics and a drysuit WITH a spray skirt tunnel.
Palm Equipment
Palm Equipment has added to their already burgeoning line of drysuits a women's model.
AT Paddles
AT has a new bent-shaft paddle out in fiberglass in the $160 range.
Camaro
Camaro from Austria will from now on deliver their wetsuits completely seamless instead of with flatlockes seams. As a result the seams are completely waterproof and even more stretchy. The kayaking wetsuits are preformed for the seated paddling position and have integrated reinforcement paddings on the knees.
Camaro's new dry tops and suits use extra flexible materials and waterproof magnetic zippers.
