A personal favorite for the BOGA crew on smaller mushy waves. The Hipster has incredible drive and responsiveness that make it surf like its about 3 inches narrower and 4 inches shorter than it’s true dims. The wide nose allows you to surf through slow sections and is great from nose rides. Out back the parallel outline moves into a hip reduction in the tail (the outline has pulled in hips in the tail area) which allows for Simmons shape like drive and speed but with quicker rail to rail performance.

BOGA’s heritage in the SUP Race scene is proven, with multiple Elite and regional wins across the globe. Our attention to detail and our focus on building fast yet stable race boards remains for 2015 with the newly designed Typhoon shape. After studying the changing climate of racing and board technologies we shaped the 2015 model with 3 main goals: Sprint Speed, Stability and what we call Slipperyness. For Speed we have a board without standard top speed limitations, one that can get up on plane and holeshot easily. For Stability we didn’t roll the bottom, instead we added a large single concave running from center and exciting the tail. And for Slipperyness, we removed the nose chin and flattened the bottom entry, moving the wide point forward to create a nose that “skips” on top of the water and doesn’t hold a line. All this translates into a board that can get up and over 7-8MPH in sprints for good starts, handles the draft train well without feeling “sticky” and has the stability both Elites and Recreational racers have come to appreciate.

A true flat water displacement hull board designed to carve through flat lakes and ocean chop with ease. The Tiburon is perfect for paddles up to 220lbs in weight. Great stability and glide specifically designed for flat water and ocean (vs surfing) paddling. As with all BOGA boards, the Tiburon is a bamboo sandwich, vacuum bagged construction board for maximum combined lightweight and strength.

The 12’6” Malolo has all the features we loved about the winning Pro Racer shape but adds the necessary changes for the rapidly evolving sport of Standup Paddle Racing. Construction: C4 Waterman’s new FeatherCore Composite line of SUPs is based on the rigorous refinement of the foam sandwich/composite structures to find the construction that best suits the unique needs of the next generation of high- performance stand-up paddleboards. Our testing has found that deck and bottom wood veneer laminates provide the lightest, strongest, least expensive ‘skin’ to complement our featherlight EPS-cored SUPs. These very thin veneer sheets are sandwiched between successive layers of fiberglass and epoxy resin and then pressure molded around the EPS core.
