i know that some of you living far from werehouse of the bankupt Riot, and this is unfortunate.. i will go my self (2 streets from it).. and come back here with the list of all boats avalaible for sale.......the sale is 50% regular 2008 price...but remember, there is no garanti on the boats. i will go and take a look and come back with a feed back... its impossible all stock will be sold anyway...it's interresting to know that there is alots on shells from Magnum and others models that can be very interresting for a pro paddler.... and from there i can arrange my self with the liquidator to ship you the stuff you need on collect transport naturally. have a good season gang!!!!

I just started looking for a good starter kayak for whitewater, I guess this is as good a time as any to get one. Problem is that I'm a big guy... hopefully they'll have something that fits.

Sorry to see it happen this way... It's a shame I probably can't afford the molding machine, but would be a heck of an investment. See ya in a few hours. Might get 2 if my dad wants to get a recreational one for the cottage.

I'll admit, it was a weird vibe. Lots of winners (the buyers), but I feel guilty taking advantage of the situation. I mean, jobs were lost over this, but I hope that the legit investors get at least some of their money back.

Sorry I missed you Sylvain! Or maybe I did speak with you and didn't realize it. Who was the guy with the white Riot t-shirt and black cap? He helped me choose... my new Thunder 76! I can't wait to get it in the water this summer. Even picked up parts for 2 full composite paddle setups (my jaw dropped when I was told $5 apiece... $35 total)

When I left an hour ago, most of the assembled whitewater models were gone... a dozen or more shells were left that were being prepped with parts kits. Lots of recreational/flatwater models left.
BTW, I paid $600+tax for a fully assembled Thunder 76... I think kits were slightly less.

The men with the Riot Cap and white T-shirt was ME. LOL and i hope you got all you need for your next summer season? Despite everything, i am very proud to be a Riot Ex-Staff.

I can't hide that it was very hard for me to return to Riot Warehouse and sale these Kayak's that was so hardly built up by devoted peoples at this low price, But things are what they are: Life go's on!

Like i was expected all the completed built Play boats got sold within the first hour!!! But many shell are still available and all the accessory's to built them up also (Thunder's, Boogie's, Astro's ect...., ans some old use models that can be use for someone that wish to open up a Riot Museum...lol). Unfortunatly no more Tandem left!!! But alot's of good Rec boats! and many many accessory's!

The liquidation go on all weekend!!! then the rest will be sold in a auction. The rules are Cash and go, so it is impossible for me to work out something for outside members in here: unless you got some rich Buds living in Montreal and willing to come and see me (for you) for a good deal?

I also wish to thank Rock Fournier from the Fournier group (liquidators) for there professional and open way to deal with this, and most, for giving me the opportunity to see and socialize with all these paddlers that have made Riot live all theses years!

Im also very happy to see that 90% of the sales are made to individuals that love this sport and others that are making there first lifetime purchasing because they have discover this cool activity!


p.s my grammary is not the best on the best because i was a very bad student in my english cours in school..lol and that i was born in a french fried culture..so i wish to apologize for this....

it was great to see you. Also fun to stroll about the factory - lots of my old mates were there - some who just left with the closing of the company, some who left just before or just after I did. It was an interesting stroll down memory lane.

The "secret back room" was still there with all my secret agent tools...ha ha...

No seriously... it was a good stroll, fun to hang out and chat and talk (even if you were super busy) and I picked up some cheap sea kayaks - that outrigger sure is tippy when its just a kayak, but it paddled fine - took it out last night after I go it outfitted.

Anyway thanks to everyone who was working yesterday. I'' drop by again today cos I forgot to get a few screws and accessories etc for the boats.

Hehe... I figured that out this morning when I went back to get some more paddles/paddle parts and help my dad get another rec kayak on the roof of the car. I wanted to thank you in person... I could see yesterday just how much that place meant to you. This is likely the first of many kayaks for me. Our cottage is right on the Riviere Rouge, part of a private community where lots of my friends and family friends have cottages too. The river is a second home to all of us. Why walk when you can paddle?

If it weren't for school and needing a new laptop, I would've bought a Magnum 80 shell/kit today, maybe even front the cash for a Thunder shell as well if my friend weren't in the same situation as me. Oh well... I guess I should just be happy that I can finally do what I've wanted to do. Time to register for some lessons!

We are getting to the last bungee piece of cord that we use to call Riot Kayaks (in Canada)

Because today was the last day of liquidation before the auction on the 7th of April....
I must say that it was for me, some up and down moments/memory's during the last weeks. Paddling world is a small one that make us really close from one to each others..
I wish to thank all the peoples/friends that came to the warehouse and socialize and share this ending with me and some of the ex-staff.

I have choose not to sell to retailers so everyone/individuals can take advantage of this moment and deals......... and i must say that i feel so so so good about this decision.. LOL

(sure i had some strange phone calls from CHINA to purchase the rest of the inventory and STICKERS of Riot's model's) I love my CAT, so i did not return my call...............

My local store has an Inferno 54 40% off of $899, so it is $540. Thing is, it probably won't have a warranty, but some used boats in good condition are sold at that price anyway, and won't have a warranty either.

We are a Riot dealer and just got over 90 new Riot kayaks in this week. Many of them are the same models we have carried before and some are new. They look good - basically the same as past years models, only a little shinier, since they apparently buff them more in the new factory. I know another dealer that also just got a bunch of the kayaks.

Yes, you can buff (or polish) plastic just like a car. Just makes it smoother and shinier.
