Our designer Corran Addison lived 500 miles from the coast for nearly ten years, in Montreal Canada where some of the world’s biggest and most impressive river waves are found. As such, he was able to develop not only great river running SUP designs, but amazing surfing designs for these unique static waves. His latest creation, the Static, combines the ease necessary to negotiate bizarre river currents and eddy lines, and the surfing performance required to surf these unique and exciting waves. The Static has the flotation necessary for fresh water paddling, the speed and drive to surf these sometimes mushy, broken waves, and the skaty feel to get as much out of these waves as you want. Can you handle 20 minute surf?

We weren’t going to make an inflatable board until we could be sure to solve all the problems of inflatable boards. And we’ve done just that. Starting with the Streetfighter for the amazing shape, we have built an inflatable that is every bit as rigid as a hard shell board. The Combat is in fact two boards in one. The main board has high sidewalls making it easy to paddle and the construction method allows us to put high pressure into the board so it’s stiff as can be. Then we’ve taken it a step further, adding a carbon/glass exoskeleton to the board. This means that no matter how hard you paddle, the board stays dead stiff, and that translates to a board which are both easier to paddle and handle, and more performing.
